The goals of the Inter-American Committee are (1) develop among its members an understanding of issues arising in various legal regimes in the Americas; (2) create a robust network of legal practitioners in the Americas; and (3) exchange updates on issues of interest to Committee members regarding developments in corporate, trade, tax and other areas of the law applicable to cross-border practice on projects in the Americas.
To achieve these goals, the Inter-American Committee will engage in the following activities (1) hold meetings of its members; (2) organize substantive discussions of relevant issues at meetings of the International Section; (3) coordinate with other Committees and other Sections of the New York State Bar Association; (4) contribute content to the publications of the International Section and New York State Bar Association; and (5) create networking opportunities for its members.
