Task Force On The Role Of The Paralegals

The task force will review and update NYSBA’s 1997 guidelines for the use of paralegals. This task force will explore relevant ethics considerations, confidentiality, privilege, supervision, and will make recommendations for best practices in light of relevant ethics opinions and other developments in the context of the modern 21st century law office and in the virtual law office.

It will also explore the possibility of some form of NYSBA membership for paralegals.
