Business Organizations: Tax & Legal Aspects Compared (2015)
This updated program on counseling business organizations will address key legal, operational and tax issues in a business endeavor that determine the best corporate vehicle – an LLC, S Corp or C Corp – by which the client’s goals and the business’s success are realized.
The speakers will spend considerable time discussing provisions that should or should not be in an operating or shareholder agreement, given the client’s objectives, and the panel will highlight recommended drafting tips for the attorney/business counselor in preparing these business documents.
A business lawyer should also be cognizant of the possibility of corporate disputes, and time has been reserved in this program to review such disputes and the assertion of minority rights, including the option, feasibility and advisability of dissolving the entity in given situations.
