Ethics for Neutrals: Recognizing the Ethics Issues

Ethics for Neutrals: Recognizing the Ethics Issues

Ethics for Neutrals_Part 2_675_1

PART TWO:

This is the second installment in the Ethics for Neutrals series.

Many people think that ethical issues will jump out at you and that only unethical neutrals commit violations. The truth is that even well-intentioned mediators and arbitrators may miss ethical issues that arise over the course of an ADR proceeding. This program features an experienced panel of neutrals who will be engaging in a roundtable discussion about how to recognize when an ethics issue may be arising, and what you can do about it. To illustrate these principles, the speakers discuss hypothetical situations, as well as stories from their own practices, where hidden ethical issues arose.
