Developing & Implementing Internal Controls for Ethics and Conflicts, Quality Review, Professional Responsibilities and Staff
Lawyer management in law firms of all sizes and specialties must put in place those internal controls and information systems to insure that the firm remains firmly within the bounds of ethical conduct. The performance of this management obligation will have a direct impact upon the financial performance of the firm. Strict adherence to ethical conduct by the firm-s lawyers will protect its reputation within the community and will help protect the client base.
A nationally recognized law firm management consultant will moderate this program that will address the role of managing partners, members of management/executive committees and heads of practice groups to insure that firm attorneys and employees operate within the bounds of the rules of professional conduct.
Key areas of potential ethical problems to be addressed include: Conflicts of interest, fee disputes, quality control, client confidentiality and the effects of mergers and acquisitions on the above.
