Imagining The Internet Of Things 2018
Total Credits: 3.0 Professional Practice
New York City has embarked on a “Smart City, Equitable City” strategy for technology and innovation calling for the development of principles and strategic frameworks to guide the implementation of connected devices and the internet of things (“IoT”). The strategy – and similar strategies by corporate and government entities across New York State and the Nation – present many challenges for attorneys and their clients, including data ownership and security and rights of access to data as well as litigation-related ones such as preservation, production, loss of data, and admissibility. This program will examine these and other issues that arise from the IOT.
