Real Property Tax Assessment Litigation & Appeals (2018)

Your client comes to you complaining about the real property taxes he or she is paying and wants you to “do something about it!” This program covers the skills and procedure to represent your client throughout the tax certiorari process. Topics include filing of a tax assessment grievance with the Board of Assessment Review, small claims assessment review, valuation of the tax assessment, and the trial of Real Property Tax Law Article 7 proceedings before the New York State Supreme Court.
