This dynamic panel of women practitioners from the field of ethics, professionalism and law practice management will present a hypothetical scenario to simulate the different stages of the client-attorney relationship from inception through closing the client file. The panel will cite case law precedent, the New York Rules of Professional Conduct, the New York Rules of Court, and Bar Association Advisory Opinions to present best practices for creating and maintaining client relationships, dos and don'ts with regard to an attorney's ethical obligations and risk management to avoid ethical dilemmas.
