Winning With Words With W. Bernhardt (2014)
6.5 Total MCLE Credits including 1.0 in Ethics
NYSBA is pleased to welcome back former litigator and author of the popular Ben Kincaid Series, William Bernhardt, to share writing and editing techniques designed to maximize your legal writing skills. A follow-up to his popular course 11 Steps to Superior Legal Writing, Persuasive Legal Writing focuses on writing to persuade in everything from litigation documents (briefs to memos) and correspondence. It builds on many of the principles established in Superior Legal Writing, but it is not necessary to take the first class in order to benefit from the second.
About William Bernhardt:
William Bernhardt spent ten years as a litigator and partner at one of Oklahoma's most prominent law firms. After his Ben Kincaid books consistently hit the New York Times-bestseller list, he left the law to write and teach writing full-time. Bernhardt also holds a Master's Degree in English Literature, giving him a unique résumé–the only legal writing instructor in the nation who has had academic acclaim, a successful, award-winning law practice, and numerous New York Times-bestselling novels.
