“History has been made tonight in New York State with
the election of Letitia James as New York State’s first African-American
Attorney General and the first woman ever elected to the position. The New York
Attorney General is one of the most influential justice and law enforcement
positions in the country. The members of the New York State Bar Association
look forward to working with Ms. James toward our longstanding goal of ensuring
fairness and equal treatment under the law for all.”
