Practical Considerations for Claims Involving Long COVID
It will include a review of relevant SSA policies, including the Emergency Message issued in 2021. They discuss advocacy strategies for overcoming many of the challenges associated with these claims, including issues related to lack of access to testing, treatment, and how to best develop and support these claims when they are based on largely subjective symptoms. The speakers also discuss tips for cross-examining SSA’s experts on issues related to Long COVID.
