The Mediation Committee is a vital resource for New York mediators and mediation users. Our mission is to promote the effective use of mediation, present timely programs for mediators and advocates, serve as a forum to discuss important policy issues, and take thoughtful positions on matters affecting the profession. We are also very proud to support the Dispute Resolution Section’s Annual Mediation Tournament, which is open to law schools nationwide.
The Committee is highly active, with a number of initiatives underway to support the development and visibility of mediation across practice areas. We are committed to fostering a collaborative community, encouraging the sharing of knowledge, and increasing awareness of how mediation can benefit clients and the broader legal system.
