The Mediation Committee is a vital resource for New York mediators and mediation users. Our mission is to promote the effective use of mediation, present timely programs for mediators and advocates, serve as a forum to discuss important policy issues, and take thoughtful positions on matters affecting the profession.
The Committee is highly active, with a number of initiatives underway to support the development and visibility of mediation across practice areas. We are very proud to support the Dispute Resolution Section’s Annual Mediation Tournament, which is open to law schools nationwide. We also host the Mediator Roundtable series, held every other month, which is free and open to all NYSBA members and others who wish to participate.
We are committed to fostering a collaborative community, encouraging the sharing of knowledge, and increasing awareness of how mediation can benefit clients and the broader legal system.
