About WILS
WILS began in 1986 as a committee of NYSBA with just 30 members who sought a unified platform to address law-related issues affecting women. Today, the Section has grown to nearly 3,000 members across New York and beyond—spanning private practice, government, the judiciary, academia, corporate legal departments, and consulting.
Our members’ diverse professional backgrounds strengthen WILS’ mission and ensure our work reflects the breadth of women’s experiences in the legal field.
