Representation of Adolescents in RTA Youth Parts
The focus of the presentation will be on removal and retention hearings, which are unique proceedings in the adult courts. We will focus on what happens in the youth part from arraignment to a removal or retention determination based on “extraordinary circumstances, including the scope of factors relevant to removal or retention determinations and the standards applicable in determining “extraordinary circumstances which allow the court to retain jurisdiction over an adolescent.

Parole Violations Under the "Less is More" Act
Panelists will discuss how criminal court sentencing impacts parole release. They will also discuss the collaboration among parole and prosecutors under Less is More, as well as insights on due process concerns regarding parole revocation hearings.
