This program will discuss hot and current topics relevant to health law practitioners, including: (i) how changes at the feds impact health care in New York, (ii) Meet the Regulators: views from DOH, Education Dept and OMIG on hot topics for them, (iii) changes in employment issues in healthcare, (iv) NY State legislative update: what passed and what is on the agenda for health care, (v) How to not violate federal or state law in sharing data: TEFCA and state changes to the SHIN-NY, and how they interact, (vi) what is changing in healthcare antitrust, (vii) AI uses, liabilities and issues in healthcare: scribes, mental health chatbots, revenue cycle and other use cases
Highlights and Objectives:
- Understand how changes at the federal level are impacting healthcare in so many ways: care allowed, financial issues and antitrust concerns
- Review new and upcoming laws in NY State impacting healthcare
