Free Legal Answers is a Virtual Legal Advice Clinic where attorneys can answer questions from the public on civil legal issues on a limited scope basis. NYSBA is the New York State administrator for this program on behalf of the ABA. For more information, or to register as an attorney volunteer, click on the link below:
LawHelpNY.org is New York’s free legal information website. Here, you can access free information about a variety of legal issues. Under “Find a Lawyer,” you can enter your county and the type of legal issue you have to access a directory of free legal service providers who may be able to assist you.
Go to NY.FreeLegalAnswers.org and ask a volunteer attorney a specific question about your civil legal issue. Once the attorney reviews your question, you will receive a response. After you receive a response, you can sign back in to the website to ask follow up questions.
The CourtHelp website is run by the New York State Unified Court System and provides information that can help you when you don’t have a lawyer.
