Co-op & Condo Law: From Regulatory Updates to Emerging Legal Challenges
The Condominium and Cooperatives Committee of the Real Property Law Section will present a series of timely updates on issues affecting cooperative and condominium communities in New York. Topics will include Updates from the New York State Attorney General’s Office, Real Estate Finance Bureau; Understanding Financials for Co-ops and Condos; Smart Tech, Serious Risks: The Legal Implications for Boards and Attorneys; Lights, Camera, Contract: Negotiating Location Agreements for Co-ops and Condos; Case Law Update; and, if selected, J-51. Together, these presentations will provide practical insight into current legal, regulatory, financial, and operational developments impacting boards, sponsors, managing agents, and counsel.
