On the Two-Year anniversary of NYS’ first adult-use sales, with the backdrop of eminent rescheduling of medical cannabis by the DEA, we take a look at the current state of the rollout, the outlook for 2025 for the NY cannabis industry, and much more. – State of the Market: On the two-year anniversary of the first adult-use sales in NYS, what is the current state of the rollout out and where do we go from here? – Litigation Update: With dozens of lawsuits involving private parties and the OCM, this panel will provide an overview and update on the most impact litigation across the state. – Hot Regulatory Topics: changes of ownership, True Parties of Interest, and proximity protection waivers. – Cannabis Industry Civil War: The $30B hemp-derived cannabinoid elephant in the room, and what it means for the NY industry. – Federal Policy Update: Rescheduling, SAFE Banking, Revised Cole Memo and More.
Highlights and Objectives:
The objective of this program is to ensure that NYSBA members practicing within the cannabis industry are up to date on the current legal and regulatory issues and developments impacting their clients, whether they are licensed operators, ancillary service providers, investors, or landlords.
