Attorney Emeritus Program to Celebrate 15 Years of Pro Bono Volunteering
9.23.2025

The Attorney Emeritus Program is celebrating 15 years of helping New Yorkers in need. A reception honoring the attorney-volunteers and host organizations of this pro bono program will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Albany Law School. Those interested in attending can register at this link.
The New York State Attorney Emeritus Program gives experienced attorneys the opportunity to aid New Yorkers who cannot afford legal representation. Volunteer attorneys – who are at least 55 years old and have at least 10 years of experience – are paired with civil legal service organizations. The program has helped protect thousands of New Yorkers in matters involving civil rights violations, employment discrimination, evictions, and more.
Created in 2010, the New York State Attorney Emeritus Program is co-administered by the New York State Unified Court System and Fordham School of Law Feerick Center for Social Justice. Learn more at this link.
