This drop-in series from the Attorney Well-Being Program offers a space to discuss the unique stressors faced by legal professionals. Following a loose agenda, the group will focus on participant needs and follow themes tailored to the group, as they arise. This series was created to establish a community of peer support related to building balance in the legal profession. The group is free and open to all members of the legal profession and will run on the final Wednesday of each month from 12pm-1pm March through October.

Each month group members will be encouraged to:

  1. Identify personalized goals
  2. Establish effective boundaries
  3. Practice meaningful self-care

Monthly Agenda
12:00pm – Group opening:

  • A “soft” opening will begin at 12pm, encouraging community discussion as attendees log in for the session.

12:05pm – Facilitator greeting:

  • Group facilitator, Jennifer Clayton, will introduce the group mission and establish the monthly intention.

12:15pm – Participant introductions:

  • Group attendees will be encouraged to introduce themselves, responding to any prompts provided by the facilitator.

12:30pm – Updates & checking-in:

  • Group members will provide a status update on current stress levels, sharing what has and has not been productive to building balance.

12:40pm – Addressing barriers & obstacles

  • Based on updates, the group will explore how to overcome current barriers and provide helpful ideas on building balance.

12:50pm – Group closing

  • The group will close with plans for how to stay motivated and on track with a plan for building balance.
