A study that evaluated the transition in New York state to the Uniform Bar Examination for prospective attorneys indicated the change didn’t have sustained or adverse effects on candidates.
“The study is an important contribution to the understanding of performance on the bar examination and its relationship to other measures,” said state Court of Appeals spokesman Gary Spencer. “Significantly, it provides a great deal of data that will be of interest to law schools, to bar examiners and the courts … and to the profession more broadly.”
