Vinicius AquiniVinicius Aquini

Vinicius Aquini is an Associate in the FinTech & Blockchain practice at McDermott Will & Schulte in New York, pending admission to the New York Bar. He previously served at the United Nations in New York, where he worked on governance, internal justice, and risk management, and at TNG Technology Consulting in Munich, advising on employment, data protection, and corporate law.

He holds an LL.B. from UFRGS, an LL.M. in European & International Economic Law from LMU Munich, an LL.M. in Law, Technology & Entrepreneurship from Cornell Tech, and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Coimbra, with research focused on AI regulation in finance.

Vinicius is Co-Chair of the Brazil Chapter of the NYSBA International Section and a member of the Committee on AI & Emerging Technologies, where he leads the AI Laws & Regulations workstream.

 

 

Bruna

Bruna Bessa de Medeiros

 
Bruna Bessa de Medeiros is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice at Demarest Advogados, in São Paulo. She represents Brazilian and foreign clients across several industry sectors in complex domestic and international disputes, as well as in pre‑litigation advisory work. She has experience in civil, corporate, environmental, construction, and infrastructure matters.
Bruna holds an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center (Washington, DC, USA). She also holds a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedure and a bachelor’s degree in Law, both from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUC‑RS, Brazil).
She is admitted to practice law in Brazil and in the United States (New York State Bar) and has developed her practice at leading Brazilian and international law firms.
