The mission of the Education Committee is to foster collaboration, support, and professional development among attorneys practicing education law. The committee aims to advance equitable and effective legal practices in education, advocate for the rights and interests of educational institutions, employees, and students, and promote thoughtful analysis of the legal issues impacting public education. Through ongoing study, discussion, and advocacy, the committee seeks to improve outcomes for all children in public schools, address disproportionality, and ensure that education law practitioners are equipped to respond to evolving legal challenges facing New York’s schools and communities
