The Hazardous Waste/Site Remediation Committee reviews and keeps EELS members current with respect to legislative, regulatory and case law developments relating to the investigation and cleanup of hazardous waste sites in New York State, under both federal and state law. As necessary, we prepare and submit comments to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and other regulatory agencies regarding proposed regulations and guidance, as well as the implementation of existing laws, regulations and guidance. We organize and present a well-attended annual Superfund/Brownfield Update program to keep EELS members and others current on the latest developments in these areas.

Committee membership is open to all members of the Environmental and Energy Law Section.
