Event and Program Coordinator
Salary: $26.37 – 30.20/hr
The New York State Bar Association, a nonprofit professional association based in Albany, is currently seeking a full-time Event and Program Coordinator. The position is responsible for assisting in the administration and coordination of Continuing Legal Education programs, including in-person events, webinars, and video replays for attorneys. The Event and Program Coordinator will provide support in the preparation and coordination of program materials; prepare program-related reports; maintain accurate program files and records; respond to member inquiries; conduct post-program follow up; serve as liaison to program speakers, as well as provide other administrative support.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an administrative or customer service role is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, as well as excellent communication skills with a pleasant and professional demeanor in person and over the phone are also required. Salesforce experience a plus. A High School diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Section Liaison, Program & Event Manager
Salary: $60,000 – $63,0000/yr
The New York State Bar Association, a non-profit professional association, is seeking a Section Liaison, Program & Event Manager, to provide a full range of support to multiple Association sections. Sections are self-sustaining, smaller chapters of the Association which develop initiatives to support members in various legal practice areas, including high-quality Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Sections in achieving their goals and objectives particularly around membership retention and engagement, CLE programming, and marketing Section events and initiatives.
- Ensuring Sections comply with NYSBA policies, including overseeing Section budgets and ensuring initiatives stay within financial guidelines and policies.
- Serving as the communications liaison with Sections.
- Planning and executing multi-day conferences and CLE programs, including webinars, video conferences, and webcasts.
- Providing general administrative support to Sections.
A bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience is required. Three to five years of event and meeting planning, project management, or related experience is also required. Experience working with executive boards of associations or non-profit organizations is a plus. Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail in a fast-paced environment; ability to work in a team environment and with a diverse membership; proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; and strong written and oral communication skills are required.
The position is located in Albany and requires travel for multi-day events several times per year. A hybrid office/remote schedule may be available.

Student and New Member Liaison
Salary: $60,406/yr
The New York State Bar Association, a nonprofit professional association based in Albany, is currently seeking a full-time Student and New Member Liaison to support the activities of our Membership Department.
The position is responsible for implementing strategies and recruitment campaigns to attract and retain law student members, including coordinating content and creating programming. In addition, the Student and New Member Liaison will develop positive relationships with law students, law school administration, and law school faculty in and out of New York State, and serving as liaison to the Association’s Young Lawyers Section. Duties also include tracking outcomes and performing analysis on marketing campaigns; producing and editing newsletters and other marketing materials and content; coordinating member engagement events and activities; and providing administrative support to the Young Lawyers Section in support of their goals and initiatives.
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success in member recruitment, event management, marketing, communication, business, or related field. An associate degree in marketing, Communication, Business, or related field is also required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required in lieu of an associate degree. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple priorities, be detail and deadline oriented, well organized, and effectively communicate with NYSBA team members. Project management skills are a must.

Government Relations Policy Manager
Starting Salary: $60,400 – $64,000/yr
The New York State Bar Association, a nonprofit professional association based in Albany, is currently seeking a full-time Government Relations Policy Manager. The position is responsible for assisting in coordinating policy activity for NYSBA sections and committees and creating content and programs as it relates to our government relations initiatives. Additionally, the position will assist in tracking key bills pending in the state legislature. Duties also include preparing summaries of legislative initiatives and reports regarding the status of those initiatives.
Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in substantive program planning and/or legislative policy is required. Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of Office applications, strong organizational skills, and a pleasant and professional demeanor are also required. Knowledge of Legislative Retrieval System (LRS), Fonteva/Salesforce and CE21 is preferred. A college degree is preferred. A hybrid office/remote schedule may be available.
