Dispute Resolution Section Diversity Series Kickoff

Dispute Resolution Section Diversity Series Kickoff_675

We are so incredibly proud to have M. Quentin Williams (“Q”) as our guest speaker for this inaugural event. Q will lead an important discussion — Is "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" Enough? A Discussion with M. Quentin Williams and Ross Kartez. We hope to make this program interactive and inclusive.

About the Diversity Series:

The Diversity Series Committee includes Laura Kaster, Jill Pilgrim, Iyana Titus, Stephen A. Marshall, Deborah A. Reperowitz, Rekha Rangachari, Evan Spelfogel, Alfreida Kenny, Salman Ravala, Esq., Mansi Karol, William Crosby, Noah Hanft, Susan E. Salazar, and Marilyn K Genoa. We have been hard at work putting together a unique program series with the aim of increasing diversity within the Section and within the practice of New York dispute resolution. We plan to start off with this Zoom Kickoff Event, and then follow that up with a series of in-person events (and celebrations). The Section has made a commitment towards reaching out to the community of diverse practitioners in an effort to include those practitioners in the work of the Section, to improve the Section's demographic, and to improve the dispute resolution culture in the State of New York. We look forward to seeing you there, and perhaps also at the upcoming in-person events!

More on Q:

Q has an extraordinary background and an interesting upbringing. You can find countless online videos of Q's programs and lectures — Q is extremely talented and is the perfect speaker to help kick off this important initiative. An advocate, attorney, and author-educator, Q is a sought-after speaker and thought leader who draws on personal history as a former FBI agent and federal prosecutor, and in senior positions with the National Football League (NFL), Jacksonville Jaguars, and National Basketball Association (NBA). In addition to leading D2C (https://lnkd.in/edzJsZJ5) and law enforcement training programs for agencies across the U.S., Q is a guest instructor at the FBI National Academy and a member of the Law Enforcement Education and Training Council at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
