Environmental & Energy Law Section Legislative Forum 2022
This Annual Legislation Forum brings together private environmental and energy practitioners with government attorneys and advocates to discuss leading issues facing the State. It provides the opportunity to hear from New York State Legislature leaders as they discuss pressing Legislative priorities and accomplishments.
State Climate Leadership in a Time of International Tragedy, War, and Energy Crisis.
New York has been at the forefront of many critical environmental law and climate change developments over the past several years.
The State’s commitment to an economy based on a carbon free future includes: the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, moving the car market to electric vehicles by 2035, incentivizing the burgeoning offshore wind energy industry, advancing large scale solar energy, and the convergence of renewable energy on brownfield redevelopments.
We bring together the leaders of these efforts to discuss where we are and where we are headed.
Registration for this event is free. This is an informational program and does not carry CLE credit.

New York has been at the forefront of many critical environmental law and climate change developments over the past several years.
The State’s commitment to an economy based on a carbon free future includes: the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, moving the car market to electric vehicles by 2035, incentivizing the burgeoning off shore wind energy industry, advancing large scale solar energy, the convergence of renewable energy on brownfields redevelopment sites, and an environmental constitutional amendment addressing clean air, clean water and a healthful environment and its promise for underserved and environmental justice communities.
The Legislative Forum will bring together the leaders in these efforts to discuss where we are and where we are headed.
