Estate Planning for Artists: How to Plan and Protect Your Legacy
The NYSBA's Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section in collaboration with The Bishop Gallery are pleased to invite you to a panel discussion on estate planning for artists. It will cover essential topics such as the basics of wills and trusts, copyright management, terms for gallery relationships, handling digital assets, and addressing issues related to artists' intellectual property and creative legacies.
Speakers:
Judith Wallace is the chair of the Art Law practice at Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP, where she represents artists, collectors, artists’ and collectors’ estate and foundations, galleries, and museums.
Ed McCoyd has his own trusts and estates legal practice and previously worked in the legal departments at McGraw-Hill Education, the Association of American Publishers, and the Authors Guild.
