Everything You Wanted to Know About the NYSBA Nominating Committee, But Didn’t Think to Ask: An Insider’s View

Join the Committee on Leadership Development to hear the perspectives and input of NYSBA seasoned leaders and past officers on how to successfully navigate the Association’s nominating process.  We are excited to provide this one of a kind program to help demystify the process and to share information from “insiders” on the inner workings of the Nominating Committee.

The program will provide answers to basic questions such as – What is the role of the Nominating Committee and how is it formed? What is the process for submitting your intent to run for a vacant position? – and importantly also provide insight and recommended approaches from members who have appeared before the Nominating Committee.

Our terrific panelists will be Past President Vincent Doyle, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Chair Mirna Santiago, current Nominating Committee members Norman Effman and Kathryn Grant Madigan (Past President).  This interactive program will be moderated by NYSBA Executive Committee member Sarah Gold.
