Navigating Brazil’s 2026 VASP Rules: Impacts on Crypto and Stablecoin Providers

Brazil has introduced a comprehensive regulatory framework for virtual asset service providers (VASPs) through Central Bank Resolutions 519, 520 and 521, which will come into full effect in 2026. These new rules establish strict authorization requirements, governance standards, operational and cybersecurity obligations, and significant limitations on cross-border virtual asset activities.
This webinar will feature two representatives from the Central Bank of Brazil, who will provide an in-depth overview of the new framework and discuss its implications, particularly for non-Brazilian crypto and stablecoin issuers, custodians, intermediaries, brokers, and other virtual asset service providers that offer services to Brazilian customers and users.
This session is essential for global firms, legal practitioners, and compliance professionals seeking clarity on Brazil’s evolving regulatory landscape and the steps needed to operate in compliance with the new rules.
