The Science of Gratitude: Practicing an Appreciation for Ourselves and Others

The Science of Gratitude: Practicing an Appreciation for Ourselves and Others

The Science of Gratitude_675
Let's start Thanksgiving week with a gratitude practice for ourselves,

for each other, and for the wonderful things in our lives.  As we move

into Thanksgiving, it's timely to explore the science of gratitude and

try gratitude practices together as a community. Scientific research

suggests that gratitude leads to increased happiness, better health, a

sense of connection, more energy, more self-confidence, and more

positive emotions, as well as less stress, anxiety, and depression.

Gratitude is also the glue that holds relationships together. In many

cultures throughout history, gratitude was considered the key to a

successful and meaningful life. After this workshop, you'll understand

how gratitude impacts the body and why we need gratitude for better

functioning brains. We will also try a gratitude meditation together.

We will discuss how to make gratitude a daily habit and develop a

grateful personality. The law is a client service business where

relationships play a primary role, so this workshop is also useful

professionally.
