February 11, 2020: Statement on President Trump’s Proposed Budget for 2021
2.11.2020
NYSBA President Henry M. Greenberg issued the following statement today regarding the absence of support for the Legal Services Corporation in the President’s budget proposal for fiscal year 2021:
“We are deeply disappointed that President Trump’s budget does not include funding for the Legal Services Corporation. $652.6 million is the bare minimum needed to provide a modicum of legal services for low-income Americans. The New York State Bar Association calls on Congress to restore this critical funding.”
