FEBRUARY 7, 2020: STATEMENT ON THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES VOTE TO PROVIDE AID TO PUERTO RICO

Henry M. Greenberg, president of the New York State Bar Association, issued the following statement regarding the House of Representative vote to provide aid to Puerto Rico:

“I applaud the action in the House of Representatives today to provide $4.67 billion in supplemental appropriations for Puerto Rico in the aftermath of recent devastating earthquakes and urge the Senate to quickly consider this crucial funding bill. President Trump should sign this measure because our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico are suffering and need this critical relief.”
