New York State Bar Association Commends Governor for Appointing Three Supreme Court Justices to the Second Department

Domenick Napoletano, president of the New York State Bar Association, issued the following statement about Gov. Kathy Hochul’s appointment of three Supreme Court justices to the Second Judicial Department:
“Gov. Hochul showed tremendous foresight in appointing three Supreme Court justices to the Second Department this week. The Second Department is New York’s busiest court, and the justices are sorely needed to reduce a backlog. We commend the governor for taking swift action to serve New Yorkers in our courts more quickly because after all, justice delayed is justice denied.”
