New York State Bar Association Decries Sexual Harassment

8.4.2021

T. Andrew Brown, president of the New York State Bar Association, issued the following statement today about the Attorney General’s findings in the investigation of Gov. Andrew Cuomo:

“For too long, women have labored in toxic work environments that tolerated sexual harassment and bullying. When this shameful behavior occurs in the public sector, it is even more reprehensible. The New York State Bar Association believes in true gender equity and has worked tirelessly to elevate the position of women in the legal profession and to eliminate gender discrimination in all walks of life. The Attorney General’s report reminds us once again of how pervasive sexual harassment is in our society, and we vow to redouble our efforts to ensure that all women in the public and private sectors are protected from this scourge.”
