New York State Bar Association Disappointed by Governor’s Veto of Death Gamble Bill

Kathleen Sweet, president of the New York State Bar Association, issued the following statement about Gov. Kathy Hochul’s veto of S5083/A5898:

“The veto of the ‘Death Gamble Bill’ by Gov. Hochul is unfair to judges and their families. Excluding them from a benefit that is available to other state workers is an injustice.”
