Nineteen Chief Legal Officers To Share Expertise at New York State Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Institute

The chief legal officers of 19 prominent companies — including Citigroup, Nasdaq, NBCUniversal, Ford Foundation, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Mastercard, The Bank of New York Mellon, KPMG, New York Life Insurance and The New York Times Company — will discuss the ethics of new technologies, the essentials of data privacy and the key to minimizing risk at the New York State Bar Association’s 10th Corporate Counsel Institute.

“The speakers for this year’s Corporate Counsel Institute are in a class of their own,” said Richard Lewis, president of the New York State Bar Association. “This all-star lineup of panelists will discuss the pressing issues facing corporate counsel including protecting data, issuing political statements, eliminating bias and reducing the cost of corporate legal services.”

The keynote topic will be “The Many and Ongoing Chapters of the Silicon Valley Bank Failure.” Other panelists will discuss the “Ethics and Privilege Issues That Confront Inside and Outside Corporate Counsel,” “How to Maximize the Value and Reduce the Cost of Corporate Legal Services,” and “Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias.”

The event will take place on Nov. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the offices of Kelley Drye & Warren at 3 World Trade Center 175 Greenwich St. in New York City. It will also be streamed online. To register, click here.
