The New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction hosted a continuing legal education course on the finer points and pitfalls of New York appellate practice in the Court of Appeals and the Third Department.

Topics of the program, which took place Friday at the Bar Center, included unified Appellate Division rules, tips for effective oral arguments and brief writing, and insight into the internal processes of the two courts.
