President Taa Grays Welcomes New Citizens on Constitution Day

In honor of Constitution Day, President Taa Grays spoke at a naturalization ceremony for new U.S. citizens at Wappinger Town Hall in Wappingers Falls on Sept. 18. Grays wished the new citizens well and presented them with pocket constitutions as a reminder that they are joining the 250-year-old tradition of the rule of law.
“Know that you are joining a longstanding tradition of immigrants who came to this country, became citizens, and gave their energy and talents to America,” Grays said.
Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino, Justice Jonah Triebwasser of the Village of Red Hook, Dutchess County Supreme Court Justice Maria Rosa, and other local officials also congratulated the new citizens on their achievement – the culmination of a long journey and years of hard work.
