Benefits and Risks of AI/GAI: Cause of Action and Defenses

Generative artificial intelligence (“GAI”) carries benefits as well as risks, both known and foreseeable. These benefits and risks may – and indeed have already – given rise to civil actions under various federal and State theories of liability. This session will examine those benefits and risks and explore causes of action arising from the use of GAI and well as defenses to liability.
