Building Partnerships to Improve Safety Outcomes for Victims of Technology Abuse

Tech abuse is hard to combat because it’s very difficult to prove and prosecute criminally. This is where the formidable NY Cyber Abuse Task force comes in!!! We share innovative practices that have improved the safety outcomes of DV/IPV victims who are targeted by technology-facilitated abuse (“tech abuse”). The presentation shares specific tools that can be used by the civil legal aid community, where civil remedies can be leverages to close the loophole on this form of abuse that is often ignored by the criminal justice system.
