The New 2021 NY Power of Attorney: Review of the NYSBA Model POA Form
The new NY Power of Attorney takes effect June 13, 2021. Learn about the new statutory requirements and what can be included in the form. The law eliminated the Statutory Gift Rider and simplified execution, but now, drafting of the modification section will take skill and care to be complete. This session will present the New York State Bar Association's model form and review drafting tips and cautions on its use and execution. The presenter will introduce the new concept of sanctions to be imposed on financial institutions and public entities which fail to accept the approved NY Statutory POA form.
Each webinar participant will receive a Word copy of the model form.
