2024 Partnership Conference: How to Chart a Repair Path: Article 7-C Article 7-D of the RPAPL | Warranty of Habitability (Video Replay)

Warranty of habitability concerns are on the rise, and new statutory remedies are available to address them. This CLE course will provide an overview of the warranty of habitability, dealing with repair issues outside of court, inside of court as a defense in a summary proceeding, and by filing a repair action under Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law (“RPAPL”) Article 7-C and/or Article 7-D. The CLE will cover the mechanics of filing the repair petitions and how to choose between the two proceedings.
