The Trial Lawyers Section and the Torts, Insurance, and Compensation Law Section invite you to join them on a captivating journey to Cuba in the Spring of 2025, offering a unique perspective on the current state of U.S.-Cuba relations.
CLE Abroad and Cuba Cultural Travel have curated an exceptional program tailored specifically for members of the New York State Bar Association, delving into Cuba's diverse cultural tapestry and venturing off the beaten path to interact with local scholars, legal professionals, entrepreneurs, musicians, and artists. They will provide profound insights into Cuba's legal and political framework, economic landscape, artistic expressions, historical significance, architectural marvels, and international relations.

Cuba Cultural Travel Program Overview
Registration Details
Registration for this event is managed exclusively by Cuba Cultural Travel and not by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). Enrollment is limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important Notes:
- Credit card payments are not accepted.
- Upon receiving your deposit, you will get a confirmation email and travel insurance recommendations.
- Additional details on flights and travel forms will be provided after the registration deadline. Travel forms and the final invoice will be sent three weeks before the payment deadline of January 20, 2025.

Program Features
This all-inclusive program includes:
- 4-night stay at the Grand Aston La Habana Hotel (Website)
- Daily breakfast and meals as outlined in the itinerary (gratuities included)
- Ground transportation during the trip
- Admission to all specified museums and public buildings
- Guidance from a Cuba Cultural Travel Escort and local Cuban tour guide
- Full compliance with U.S. Treasury Department regulations
- Cuban Tourist Card
Exclusions:
- Roundtrip airfare to/from Cuba
- Meals not specified in the itinerary
- Recommended gratuities:
- $7–$10 per person per day for the guide
- $5–$7 per person per day for the driver
- Personal expenses (mini-bar, room service, laundry, etc.)
- Trip cancellation insurance

Payment Details
- Deposit: $1,000 per person due at registration
- Final Payment: Due by January 20, 2025
Payment Policy:
- Payments are nontransferable and nonrefundable after the dates specified in the cancellation policy.
- Payment must be made via personal or business check, or cashier’s check issued from a U.S. bank/account.
- Returned payments are subject to a $25 fee.
- Credit cards, online bank checks, and wire transfers are not accepted.
Cancellation Policy
- Group Cancellation: If the trip is canceled due to Cuban regulation changes, participants will receive a full refund.
- Individual Cancellations:
- December 20, 2024–January 19, 2025: $1,000 per person forfeited.
- After January 20, 2025: Full cost of the trip forfeited.
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected].
