Trump’s Immigration Policies: Impacts on the Workplace

The panel will provide an overview of the Trump Administration’s new policies on immigration, with particular focus on those that affect workplaces. We will review the status of DOJ litigation against “sanctuary cities,” and what this may mean for workplaces in NYC and beyond. We will also discuss both employer and employee rights in the context of ICE enforcement actions as well as best practices for being prepared for immigration enforcement before it occurs.
