SCOTUS Update 2025 – A Year in Review

Professor Bonventre will deliver his annual Supreme Court update. As customary, he will highlight the patterns in the voting records of the Justices and in the decisional record of the Court as a whole, and he will survey the term’s major decisions. This year, in addition to analyzing ideological and jurisprudential profiles, he will explore emerging signs of cracks in the Court’s 6-3 partisan divide—particularly regarding Justice Barrett’s occasional siding with the political liberals and the continuing moderating of Chief Justice Roberts.
