An Election Like No Other: Preparing For A Local Election Postponed Due To The COVID-19 Pandemic (Webinar)

Village elections normally take place on one of several designated months. The Governor’s executive orders postponed village elections previously scheduled to be held in March, April, May, or June to September 15, 2020. School district votes were postponed until June 9, 2020. and Special district elections were also postponed. Elected officials in the affected municipalities have contributed continued to serve as holdovers. Many legal issues will need to be resolved in order for the postponed elections to be conducted. The purpose of this webinar is to assist attorneys who represent municipalities and school districts, and attorneys who represent clients in matters involving municipalities and/or school districts, to prepare for the upcoming September 15 elections.
