The Mergers Committee focuses on competition issues arising in domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The Committee provides a forum for members to discuss recent antitrust developments and trends concerning merger activity through panels and conferences featuring private practitioners, enforcers, and in-house counsel, as well as other initiatives.

The purpose of the Mergers Committee is to be a resource for defense, plaintiffs, government, and in-house attorneys and economists on critical developments and complex issues in antitrust law as it relates to mergers and acquisitions. The Committee holds periodic meetings, panels, and other events to foster discussion and collaboration among those who provide advice and counseling on antitrust issues that may arise in mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Importantly, the Mergers Committee serves as a platform for members to engage and network with fellow antitrust practitioners across sectors. Members are encouraged to participate in committee programs through speaking and writing opportunities.
