Discussion of various practices in Surrogate’s courts around the state to provide equal justice to a diverse population and improve public perception of the courts as well as exchange of ideas to better serve the concerns of diverse litigants.

1.    Discussion of various court practices that raise public trust and confidence

2.    Discussion of different ways attorneys can respect and reflect the particular needs of their diverse clientele so they can provide better representation

3.    Discussion of implicit bias and how it can impact our decisions and interactions with other in the legal profession/setting
