CPLR Update 2022: Critical Information You Must Know and May Not Know

Professor Hutter will review and explain important developments in New York state civil practice, and there were many, that occurred in 2021 and through April 2022. Decisions from the Court of Appeals, all four Appellate Division departments and the trial courts applying the CPLR, and legislative enactments amending the CPLR and additions to the Uniform Trial Rules will be covered. Additionally, an important United States Supreme Court decision will be examined as to its implications on New York's log arm statute. Stressed during the program will be the splits on important issues that have developed in the Appellate Division department s that have developed as well as those that have been resolved.
